The Mean Green MG7796HD is the heavy-duty 300 amp version of Mean Green's 99-03 alternator. It makes 300 amps at only 2,000 RPM, so you get real charging power even at idle and low cruise speeds.
Inside, the tool steel rotor shaft rides on heavy-duty double sealed bearings at both ends, and the solid copper stator windings are sealed with high-temperature insulation. The built-in regulator is made to handle heat and keep working when underhood temps climb. It bolts up to the stock brackets, so the install is straightforward.
Good fit for tow rigs, work trucks, plow trucks and anything running heavy electrical loads.
