Heat is what kills automatic transmissions, and more fluid is one of the simplest ways to fight it. The ATS deep transmission pan holds 5 extra quarts over the factory pan on E4OD, 4R100 and 5R110 trucks. That gives your transmission more fluid to work with and more time to shed heat when you're towing heavy or running more power. It's a good upgrade on any 7.3L we build for towing.
The pan is cast aluminum with a black powder coat, so it won't rust out like the factory steel pan. It comes ready to bolt on with a gasket and a magnetic drain plug, and it's already tapped for a temperature sensor if you want to keep an eye on trans temps.
Note: 2008-2010 6.4L trucks need to run the 2003-2007 6.0L (5R110) transmission filter with this pan.
