Axle wrap is a common problem on OBS Fords once you add power. Under hard launches or heavy towing, the rear leaf springs twist, the axle rotates, and you get wheel hop and a lot of stress on the driveline. S&B's traction bar kit stops that wrap without tying the suspension down. The bushing and mount design lets the axle keep its full articulation and travel, so the truck still rides and flexes the way it should.
The bars are adjustable in length from 50" up to 84", so they can be set up for your wheelbase and how the truck is built. This is the short gusset version. It also clears S&B fuel tanks and AMP Research steps, so you don't have to choose between them. If your truck has a solid rear axle on leaf springs and makes real power, traction bars are one of the best upgrades you can do.
Note: The axle mounts are weld-on and need to be welded to the axle tubes during install.
