The ribbon cable connects the Selector Switch to the Chip. Longer lengths are required for mounting the Selector Switch in different locations outside of the 3 ft. reach.

What needed to extend my hydra location
Unfortunately I had already tucked all the wiring due to my PCM connector being broken and having to relocate it I forgot pictures. However I will assure you it met way more than expectations, insanely fast shipping and the product came as described and well packaged.
