Reaching a toolbox or something up front in the bed of a Super Duty usually means climbing over the side or into the bed. The AMP Research BedStep 2 is a retractable side step that bolts to the frame just behind the cab, so you get a solid step right where you need it to reach into the bed. It mounts on either side of the truck, flips down with a nudge of your foot, and tucks back up out of the way when you're done.
It's built the same way as AMP's other steps. The linkage is die-cast aluminum alloy, black anodized and PTFE coated against corrosion. The hinge points are stainless and the bushings are press-fit, so there's no maintenance. The ridged step is glass-reinforced resin and grips in mud, rain and snow.
