The OBS Ford 7.3 Powerstroke 1994-1997 did not come with a factory mount intercooler system. Instead Ford decided that the turbo would be sufficient with the larger 1.15 turbo turbine housing. Although it probably helped out some it did not cure EGT problems for a modified truck.
Installing the FFD OBS Intercooler Kit will get you lower EGT's, better fuel economy and more power. Cooling the intake charge air will improve oxygen availability. So the more oxygen with the cooler air equals more burned fuel and less black smoke.
This kit is a bolt on design. Comes with brackets for the intercooler, power steering cooler and AC Condenser.

Overall good kit, but there are issues. No instructions included; you will need to source nuts/bolts for the condenser brackets, intercooler mounts, and trans cooler to bracket and trans cooler bracket to frame. Two of the T clamps were rusted beyond use and all T clamps had some degree of corrosion on the threads. I utilized vinyl coated cable clamps to clamp the pipes to the alternator & compressor instead of the brackets that came with the kit.
With that said, the end product is great for the money. My EGT’s are down 2-300 degrees which has had an effect of a very noticeable power increase when pulling grades, which is exactly what I wanted.
Intercooler had some dings in it from shipping with only the cardboard it came it to protect it and also no instructions for it. The fitment is pretty good once it all starts coming together. Does look great once all alignment is done and secured. Would recommend for anyone thinking about buying one.

Fit right in. About 4.5 hours of work and the EGTs are about 250° cooler than without. Gas mileage also improved a few mpg too. Fast shipping great fitment and good product. Only thing I don’t like is there is no bung hole for a boost line.
Went together perfectly fine and works great, had a few issues with missing pieces and the qr code for instructions not working. Had to weld custom brackets that where missing and find videos online for install, nothing too hard just a little frustrating. Other than that it works great.
Pretty good kit. Needed a few fasteners that weren't provided and the qr code to directions didn't work.
My only real complaint is that they send all the piping in one box loose with all the hardware, which includes some heavy steel brackets. These gave my pipes some heavy smacks and left some unsightly dents. Not what you want on your shiny new intercooler!
This isn't a Jelibuilt kit, so maybe it's not on them idk. Anyways just ship it better!
Well thought out kit. If you have a 6.0 Trans Cooler you will need to do some problem solving to make it all work. I cut up the supplied bracket to make new hangers for the cooler to mount between the AC condenser and the Radiator. Overall kit is great, just need some decent problem solving skills to make it all work.
Instructions were very detailed and I'm happy with the install. If your running a 6.0 transmission cooler like I am you'll have to do some custom fab work to get the intercooler to fit sense you won't have room to push the ac condenser back like the Instructions states.
